On the night of December 18th, ”YD·Kaishi cup” Creative Works Competition of institute of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science, Zhejiang University was successfully held.

Before the competition, Ms Yang , Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of institute of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science made a speech, She pointed out that at present,our country places "innovation" at the core of the overall situation of modernization construction, and institute of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science, as a model of interdisciplinary, has distinctive innovative characteristics.

The "YD· Kaishi Cup" Creative Works Competition aims to encourage the students of Zhejiang University to explore their own innovative ideas, participate in innovative and creative activities, and  improve their innovation and entrepreneurship ability

In this competition, 10 teams carried out innovative thinking and creative practice around the theme of AI "intelligence + lighting / big health". The contestants combined artificial intelligence with lighting, applied their ideas to multi-functional interactive light screen, behavior recognition technology and other aspects. The unique entry point of AI intelligent lighting and the innovative works on display made the judges admire!

After nearly 2 hours of on-site contest, the on-site judges graded the works according to their creativity, practicability and students' on-site performance. At the same time, with the purpose of promoting learning and training by competition, the judges put forward many practical suggestions for improvement.

In  the end of the competition, Professor Zhou Hong, vice president of institute of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science, commented on the entries as a whole, affirmed the excellent performance of each team, and encouraged students to combine the passion of innovation and Entrepreneurship with solid scientific research practice, step by step, and strive to become the main force of national scientific and technological innovation in the future.

After fierce competition, one "special prize", one "first prize", three "second prize" and five "third prize" were finally awarded. The judges and teachers of this competition presented awards to the winners.

This "YD· Kaishi Cup" Creative Works Competition is also an achievement perfermance  of industry university cooperation. YD's contribution to Zhejiang University's innovation and entrepreneurship education helps to enhance students' ability to develop and use lighting technology. At the same time, it also helps to cultivate students' sense of career, responsibility and exploration spirit, and inject fresh vitality into the future lighting industry!
